Office politics... What do you think about them?

Image result for Nasty Office politics

Have you ever been caught up between nasty office politics?
In some weird cases it is believed that office politics can be considered important.
I simply believe that it is considered important only because it encourages people to go to work.
I mean, if there is some juicy gossip, rumors, and scandals about someone, people are going to
make sure they do not miss a day of work just so they can see what happens and hear about who did what.

Jane Mcgrath believes that it is simply because of the distribution of power and appearance of fairness in the workplace, that reflects how satisfied employees are with their jobs. Believing you and your opinions makes a difference and may make you happier in your career and in your life.

Tips to avoid office politics

Leave at peace with others

  • Try to get along with everyone
Do not talk out of school
  • If someone told you something in confidence then keep it to yourself, do not try to create problems by repeating it to someone else
Be helpful
  • Is someone struggling to build an Excel Macro? Does someone need a ride in the direction you live? Try to be helpful to your co-workers
Stay away from gossip
  • Because nothing good comes out of it.
Be a straight arrow
  • Do what you promised to do (Keep your promises)
  • Admit to your mistakes

Implementing your bright ideas.

Image result for ideas

Ever had a bright idea but was too scared to implement it because you were scared of being judged, or belittled or even told that it will not work out just because you are not good enough?

Well I am here to tell you to stop, listen and believe. Sometimes it is in other people's nature to tell you what you can and cannot do. If you come up with a bright idea they are too quick to tell you that it is useless just because they did not come up with it. In the 1970s when Teri Pall came up with an idea of inventing a cordless phone everyone though he was mad. But guess what? you are probably using one of the best and coolest cell-phones today. Cool right?

When Wilbur and Orville Wright came up with an idea of inventing an airplane, everyone thought their idea was never going to work. But guess what? I have been in one of their inventions going to Thailand. Their idea became one of the fast growing economies in our history.

So all you need to do is have your idea, believe in yourself, plan how you can implement it and put it into practice. Remember that not everyone will always agree with you. So keep a clear focus and be the best you can be.

Remember: we are all talented in our own way. Just because your friend can do splits like Jean Claude Van Dame and you cannot do them, it does not make you useless or uncool. You might find out that you can sing beautifully and your friend can't.

I realized that our generation has not come up with the coolest ideas yet. You know, the ones that will be remembered 40 years from now. I read an article about school teenage girls who invented a generator that runs on urine (pee), that can keep the lights on for six hours. That is so cool. So you see, it only takes an idea to change the future and make it a little bit better.

Remember: You are smart and anything is possible. The sky is the limit!

Training and development... A night and shining armer

In today's world it has become very challenging to get placement without having any experience or training. The first question the interviewer often ask the interviewee is 'Do you have any training or experience?' If not then it is highly likely that you will not be hired.

There is a high rate of unemployment in South Africa because of this situation. Which often leads to crime. Institutions should encourage training and development or should make it compulsory to any student doing their last year.

A student at the University of Johannesburg named Bongani Zwane establishes a company called ABZ Holdings which offer students, graduates and general workers training and development and give them working experiences.

So far 8400 students including the former Miss South Africa Bakang,  have graduated under this company. I am an intern at this company working under the customer service division.

It is an incredible opportunity since I am learning quite a lot and am able to meet new people on a daily basis who also share with me a piece of their knowledge.  As a public relations student I am being taught the theoretical part of public relations in class, luckily I am receiving all the practical training and experience I need at ABZ Holdings before I can face the world.

Election time is just around the corner.

so who will you vote?

Since there has been claims of corruption within the government which route will you take?
Which party are you going to vote for South Africans; ANC, EFF or DA?
All i know is that our nation needs change, but not just any change... the kind of
change that will create opportunities  for the youth and  their future. Better schools, better
hospitals, better roads, houses and service delivery, not empty promises.

Do not  vote for someone just because they promised you an R.D.P house or because they gave you a kiss or just because they promised you a better job. Vote for someone that you know, will bring change to our nation. THE FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS.

Thailand: the home of clear blue waters and bright colours.

Travelling to other continents, countries other states whatever you want to call it, can be pretty amazing. Getting a lifetime experience of tasting other food from different cultures, getting to know their languages, how they do certain things is just perfect.

Thailand is where I'm headed now. Can't wait to smell the fresh new air, meet new people, taste something different in terms of food, learn a little bit more about their culture, take a nice swim in the hot blazing sun in the clear blue waters. Thailand the home of bright beautiful colors, silk, and flea markets on rivers. The home of ancient secret temples and monks. I can not wait.

Rape is getting out of hand...!

Rape is getting out of hand throughout the whole world. It is amazing how a man can just rape an infant (for example a two year old etc) or a teenager or even a woman and get away with it. Rapist do 'what they do best' and get away with it, they commit these crimes and get bail instead of being punished properly. Not to get personal or anything I thing they should be killed 'period'.

Recently a teenager in Cape Town  was gang raped and killed brutally which left her mother torn apart and the community in shock. It left the whole country shocked to an extend whereby the government also got involved. But what everybody would like to see or what would bring closure to other people, is to see these monsters or rapists being punishing properly, in a way that would make one think before thinking of raping a woman or a child.

It is time we take a moment to think about how our world is getting rotten. It is time we take a step back to say NO TO WOMAN AND CHILD ABUSE!... ENOUGH is ENOUGH!. It is time we work together as one to overcome this crisis.
